74th Annual Golden Globe Awards

I am truly honored to have attended the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards with my brother Dr. Antonio Gellini, Founder and Chairman of World Film Institute, Family Film Awards and Olympia Awards. During my time as Vice President of these remarkable organizations and in working for nearly two years as Dr. Gellini’s exclusive personal publicist, I have experienced many powerful moments that defy description. I’ve seen, heard and learned a great deal about this legendary man, his visionary companies and highly influential network of friends.

On Sunday nigh

t I witnessed yet another powerful sight. Dr. Gellini received a very warm welcome from many celebrities and honorees of the night, one of whom was Mr. Paul Verhoeven, Director of the movie “Elle” who had just accepted the Golden Globe on stage for Best Motion Picture in a Foreign Language.

After the main event, we crossed paths with Mr. Verhoeven on the red carpet, carrying his newly-won Golden Globe Award in hand. Upon seeing Dr. Gellini they embraced as old friends. Shortly after Dr. Gellini introduced me and we had a few words I offered to take their photo for old time’s sake. Out of respect for the Founder and Chairman of World Film Institute and Family Film Awards, for what he has done for America, American families and the American film industry with Mr. Dick Clark, dick clark productions and others, Mr. Verhoeven passed his Golden Globe Award to Dr. Gellini as they struck a pose.

After the photo Dr. Gellini passed the award back to him saying “Congratulations Paul! You deserve this because you earned it and I want you to have it back.” How truly powerful that in going on 21 years that’s passed since the Family Film Awards first aired on CBS on August 22nd, 1996, the respect that so many celebrities have for Dr. Gellini is not lost. Not only is it not lost. It is very strong.

From my heart I congratulate you Dr. Antonio Gellini. This was a great symbolic gesture and I believe a sign of what is to come in 2017 and beyond. Much respect to you my honorable brother.

God Bless you and God Bless America
